The holidays may be over, but for many of us the cold weather is here to stay. At least for a little while.

I am a big fan of bars. Not so much the alcohol-drinking kind – but food bars. And candy bars. And today – a hot chocolate bar.

How fun is this idea?

How to make hot chocolate barWe have had a candy bar in the dining room for the last few years, which has been a fun treat for the kids. And adults. And since they are big fans of hot chocolate, I thought “hey! hot chocolate bar!” Why not, right?

The table I use for these infamous bars was one on my parents’ patio for years. They offered it to me for my patio when I moved, but Maggie-Peyton and I saw another use for it. With a can of our favorite spray paint, it was like new and has served us well ever since.

This was probably one of the most simple projects I’ve assembled. It consists of some of their favorites to make “fancy hot chocolate” as the little one refers to it. Other than the ingredients we already purchase for this sweet treat, it didn’t cost a penny.
